2015 United Leasing Championship

2015 SWAT Challenge

The Evansville Police Department Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is teaming up with the EPD SWAT team to host The SWAT Challenge in downtown Evansville on the morning of May 2nd. The SWAT Challenge is Evansville’s first city-based obstacle course. The course will be a 5K run with 15+ obstacles throughout the event. Proceeds from the challenge will go to the EPD Foundation, which exists to award financial grants to the Evansville Police Department for specialized equipment, education, collaborative community programs, and for the support of EPD personnel. A portion of the funds will also go to training and equipment for the SWAT team.

2012 Annual Meeting Awards Luncheon

The Evansville Police Department Foundation had their 2012 Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon on May 9 at the Centre. The ceremony included the awarding of six scholarships, the Howard Davis Award going to recently retired Officer Pete Dossett, and the induction of Retired Deputy Chief Patti Wazny into the Evansville Police Department Hall of Fame.

Lt. Colonel Dave Grossman Training Event

The Evansville Police Department Foundation is honored to announce that Lieutenant Colonel Dave Grossman, author of the Pulitzer Prize nominated On Killing, will present a training seminar entitled “The Bulletproof Mind” at The Victory Theatre. Grossman is an internationally recognized scholar, author, soldier and speaker who is considered to be one of the foremost experts in the field of human aggression and roots of violence and violent crime.

Lt. Colonel Grossman has presented seminars to over fifty colleges and universities worldwide and has trained both educators and law enforcement professionals in the field of school safety. He helped to train mental health professionals after the Jonesboro school shootings and was involved in various roles after the Paducah, Springfield, Littleton, Virginia Tech and Nickel Mines Amish School shootings. He has testified as an expert witness and served as a consultant in

4th Annual Evansville Police Department and Police Merit Commission Awards Banquet

You are cordially invited to the 4th Annual Evansville Police Department and Police Merit Commission Awards Banquet on Tuesday, February 17, 2009.  The event will be held at The Centre, Ballroom A.  The doors will open at 11:00am with the lunch beginning at approximately 11:15am.

The Awards Banquet will honor those officers receiving Merit Awards in 2008 as well as honoring the service of officers who retired or passed away in 2008.

Those receiving Merit Awards are:

Gold Merit Awards: David Bonenberger, Jeff Kingery, Kevin Mason, Jason Cullum, David Fehrenbacher, Jr.,  Monty Guenin, Nick Henderson, Brian Hildebrandt, Mike Sitzman, Jeff Worthington, Eric Rasche, Matt Hastings, and Patrick McDonald.

Silver Merit Awards: Jeremy King

The deadline to purchase tickets is Monday, February 9th.  If you wish to attend the awards ceremony only, it will begin at approximately 12:15pm.  Please come support your fellow officers and honor their dedication to the Evansville Police Department.
